Dear resident Over recent weeks we have seen an increase in reports of attempted burglaries where the suspects are trying door handles of properties. Please Be vigilant when it comes to locking up your property at night. Is access to the garden restricted with a fence/gate? Keep side gates locked at all times when not in use.Is there outside lighting to deter trespassers? a clear, low light that activates from dusk till dawn is ideal for lighting a yard or garden allowing any person to be seen clearly.Are sheds and out buildings secured? Keep them locked when not in use. Are tools and ladders secures from would be burglars? Never leave tools or items that can be used to break into homes on show. Are all keys out of sight? Never leave your keys in view of your door or windows.If you have an alarm, use it.
